About СТБ HD (STB HD)

STB HD [UA] is the high-definition version of Ukraine's STB television channel. The main channel began broadcasting on 2 June 1997 and is part of the StarLightMedia group connected with Viktor Pinchuk.

STB's history and schedule include the news programme "Vikna" (Windows), the comedy show "Show Dovgonosykiv", the music project "ShiSh", the cultural review "KiN", the film programmes "O Kino" and "Cinemateka", Maria Burmaka's talk shows and the analytical programme "Vikna-tyzhnevik". Since 2013, the channel has used the slogan "Everything Is Possible".

STB HD broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 and keeps Ukrainian as the broadcast language. Lyudmyla Semchuk is the general director, and Demyan Radzivilyuk has been the voice of the channel since 2002. In the TV guide, news appears alongside shows, series, films and analytical programmes.
