MuzSoyuz is a Russian Orthodox music television channel focused on spiritual, classical and folk music. Its round-the-clock Russian-language broadcast brings together academic, sacred and folk musical traditions.
The channel was created by the Yekaterinburg Diocese and is connected with the Soyuz family. The schedule includes spiritual chants, classical music, concerts by Orthodox and folk performers, music videos, and informational, cultural and educational programmes.
Talk cycles about music, interviews with musicians and stories about their work have a separate place. The channel features Svetlana Kopylova, Oleg Pogudin, Olga Kormukhina, Igor Rasteryaev, Lyudmila Kononova, Aleksandr Shcherbakov, Zhanna Bichevskaya, Vladimir Matorin, Yuliya Slavyanskaya, Olga Bratchina, Marina Rogoza and other Orthodox and folk artists.
Trial broadcasting began on 31 January 2015, and MuzSoyuz later moved to regular airing. Together with the Orthodox channel Soyuz, the project forms a spiritual and cultural space in Russia and the CIS.
