About Music Box Gold

Music Box Gold is a Russian music television channel devoted to popular videos by Russian and international performers. Its round-the-clock Russian-language broadcast follows contemporary pop music, new releases and show-business news.

The schedule combines music videos by Russian and foreign artists, in-house shows about music, cinema, fashion, cooking and entertainment, and chart programmes with Russian, Ukrainian, European and American performers. The daily programme Gold News covers show-business events, Russian-language stars and upcoming music premieres.

The channel began broadcasting on 1 June 2004. Until 2015, domestic music videos formed the core of the schedule, and later the music selection expanded with international artists. In June 2016, the MusicBox brand became MusicBox Gold, while the channel kept the format of a music showcase with videos, news and entertainment features.
