About Start World HD

Start World HD is the high-definition version of Start World, the Russian channel focused on international films and series. It runs around the clock in Russian, presents the base Start World programme in 1080i 16:9 and brings together international series premieres, films and entertainment projects from different countries.

The START and Walter Presents strand is an important part of the channel: non-English-language series, European drama, crime stories, comedies and auteur television. The base Start World channel began broadcasting on 17 January 2022. In February 2026, the channel announced a rebranding and logo change.

Start World HD was founded by Start Media TV LLC, is owned by Start, and its HD distribution belongs to cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT categories with HD support.
