Загородный TV guide for the week

Zagorodnyy is a Russian around-the-clock educational channel about country life. It began test broadcasting in June 2010, runs in Russian and focuses on themes of house building, land plots, gardens and life outside the city.

The schedule includes programmes about country-house construction, landscape design, gardening, vegetable growing and keeping domestic animals. More than 70 percent of its material is produced in Russia, while foreign documentaries about gardens, plants and insects add a wider visual layer.

The channel combines a practical tone with lively country-life storytelling: advice, observations, seasonal work and calm stories about life beyond the city. It underwent a rebranding on 18 May 2020. Production is handled by the Russian TV company AO Pervyy TVCh, founded on 25 April 2007 in Saint Petersburg and operating under the name Vybor since January 2026.
