Nelonen is a Finnish commercial television channel from Sanoma Media Finland and the main channel of the Nelonen Media family. Its name means "four": the channel grew out of the local PTV and PTV4 offerings and became a national channel under the Nelonen brand on 1 June 1997.
Nelonen combines entertainment shows, series, films, reality formats, sports and special projects. The channel holds a visible place in Finnish commercial television, where prime time, large shows and evening editions shape the structure of the day.
Nelonen is built around a broad commercial programme: daytime and evening blocks, series, films, shows and sports broadcasts. The schedule shows which projects run on the main Nelonen Media channel and how the day is arranged.
