About Yle Teema & Fem HD
Yle Teema & Fem HD is a Finnish public HD channel from Yle, combining the cultural Teema strand with the Swedish-language Fem strand. The shared channel appeared on 24 April 2017 after Yle Teema and Yle Fem were merged.
The Teema side brings culture, documentaries, films, music, science, education, archive material and authored programmes. The Fem side adds Swedish-language news through TV-nytt, children's blocks, factual programmes and entertainment formats.
The Yle Teema & Fem HD TV guide places cultural series and auteur films beside news, family programmes and daytime Fem blocks. A single broadcast day carries two characters of the channel, so the transitions between culture, documentaries and Swedish-language programming become part of its rhythm.
