About RTP 1 HD

RTP 1 HD is the HD version of the main channel of Portugal's public broadcaster RTP. The base channel RTP 1 traces its history to 1957 and remains the first television channel of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal.

RTP 1 brings together Telejornal, news, current-affairs programmes, Portuguese drama, entertainment shows, films, major events and sports broadcasts. The HD version keeps that broad schedule and the same status as Portugal's main public channel.
