About RTP 2 HD
RTP 2 HD is the HD version of Portugal's second public television channel. The base channel RTP 2 launched in 1968 and became the cultural and educational branch of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal.
RTP 2 focuses on culture, education, documentaries, auteur cinema, science, history, art, concerts, theatre and programmes for children and young people. The HD version keeps that calmer character and the channel's broad cultural schedule.
