About RTP 3

RTP 3 is the Portuguese public news channel of RTP. It grew out of RTP Informação and is now closely associated with the RTP Notícias news brand.

The channel focuses on news, live reports, politics, society, business, international affairs, analysis studios and special coverage around major events. RTP 3 keeps the main story of the day moving through updates, interviews and discussion-led formats.

In the RTP 3 TV guide, morning news blocks sit beside daytime bulletins, analysis programmes, interviews, parliamentary coverage and special broadcasts. The schedule marks the point where the broadcast moves from short updates to a deeper explanation of the day.
