About TVI HD
TVI HD is the HD version of the Portuguese commercial channel TVI. TVI, Televisão Independente, began broadcasting on 20 February 1993 and became one of Portugal's main private television channels.
The channel belongs to Media Capital and works as a broad commercial network with news, drama series, telenovelas, reality shows, major entertainment formats, daytime programmes, interviews and special broadcasts. TVI is especially visible in Portuguese television culture through national drama and reality formats.
