About 2x2

2×2 is a Russian animation TV channel aimed at teenage and adult audiences. Full-scale broadcasting began on 1 November 1989. The channel went off air in 1997 before returning in 2003. From 2007, 2×2 took shape as an animation channel, and since 10 April 2018 it has been broadcasting in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) format.

The schedule regularly features foreign animated series, including "Adventure Time", "The Simpsons", "Rick and Morty" and other cult animated hits. Since 16 August 2021, the channel has used the slogan "Vsyo ravno 2x2" (Anyway 2x2). Aleksandr Gavrilin has been the voice of the channel since 2023. Dmitriy Limar serves as general director, with Polina Butenko as programme director.

Since 2014, 2×2 has been part of the Gazprom-Media holding. The channel's headquarters are located in Moscow. The broadcast zone covers Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The channel is available through digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators, as well as IPTV/OTT services.
