About ERT 1
ERT 1 [GR] is the main public television channel of Greece's ERT broadcaster. Its history begins on 23 February 1966, when regular television broadcasting started in Greece.
A modern chapter is also central to the channel: after the public broadcaster was shut down in 2013, ERT 1 returned on 11 June 2015 with the restoration of ERT. Today its schedule includes news, current affairs, culture, documentaries, sport, children's programming and evening entertainment.
