About Channel 9 HD
Channel 9 HD is the HD version of Channel 9, the Israeli Russian-language television channel also known as Israel Plus. The HD feed runs in Russian, uses 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) and keeps the profile of the main Channel 9 service.
The schedule includes news about Israel and the world, current-affairs programmes, talk shows about the Russian-speaking community, documentary strands about Jewish history and the State of Israel, cultural programmes, diaspora reports, and films and series from Russian, Soviet, Israeli and international production.
The main Channel 9 launched in February 2002 and is owned by Israel 9 Channel Ltd. The HD version follows the same Russian-language editorial profile as the main channel and differs by broadcast format, without changing the news, cultural and entertainment mix.
