About Шокирующее HD (Shokiruyushcheye HD)
Shokiruyushcheye HD is a Russian film TV channel dedicated to feature films in the mystery, horror, thriller and psychological drama genres. Broadcasting began on 31 October 2018 in Russian and runs around the clock.
Shokiruyushcheye HD replaced the earlier Kinopokaz HD1 feed. An 18+ age rating has applied since launch. The schedule gathers films about the dark sides of human nature and mystical phenomena, alongside psychological drama and thrillers.
Its slogan frames the brand as shocking cinema: "Shokiruyushcheye — kino o tom, o chyom vy boyalis podumat. Kino o tom, chto vy boyalis sebe predstavit. Kino o tom, chto vam ne snilos dazhe v samykh strashnykh koshmarakh" (Shocking — films about what you were afraid to think about, films about what you were afraid to imagine, films about what you have never even dreamed of in your worst nightmares).
The channel has run in parallel in 576i 16:9 (SDTV) and 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) since launch. The channel is owned by the National Satellite Company and belongs to a group of film and series TV channels. As an HD channel, Shokiruyushcheye HD is carried by digital terrestrial television, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators, as well as by IPTV/OTT services.
