About Комедийное HD (Komediynoye HD)
Komediynoye HD is a Russian film channel dedicated to comedy. It began broadcasting on 1 May 2009 as Kinopokaz HD-2, then received its current name on 1 February 2019 together with an HD feed in 1080i 16:9.
The schedule features comedy films and series, eccentric stories, pranks and humorous movie blocks. The channel slogan is built around cinema without prejudice, bans or restrictions, with emphasis on sharp humour, mischievous behaviour and rough practical jokes.
Komediynoye HD runs around the clock in Russian. It is owned and operated by the National Satellite Company. The channel broadcasts in 576i 16:9 and 1080i 16:9 and is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks in Russia and abroad.
