About Россия 1 (Rossiya 1)

Rossiya 1 [RU+2] is a time-zone version of the federal Rossiya 1 channel with a +2-hour shift from Moscow time. It is made for Russia's eastern regions, where news, premieres and evening programmes are placed closer to local prime time.

The [RU+2] version keeps the editorial schedule of the base Rossiya 1 channel. Its programming includes "Vesti" (News), "Vesti Nedeli" (News of the Week), current-affairs programmes, feature films, documentaries, entertainment shows and sports events.

Rossiya 1 belongs to VGTRK, Anton Zlatopolsky is the general director, and the slogan "The Country's Main TV Channel" reflects the positioning of the base channel. The Rossiya 1 [RU+2] TV guide shows how the two-hour shift changes the timing of news editions, evening premieres, repeats and major events.
