Zvezda [RU+2] is a time-zone version of the federal public-patriotic channel Zvezda, with the schedule shifted two hours from Moscow time. It follows the same broadcast day for eastern Russian regions, where news, documentaries, films and evening programmes appear closer to local time.
Zvezda programming includes information and analysis shows, documentaries, history cycles, programmes about culture, science, the army, defence and society, as well as feature films. The base channel went on air on 20 February 2005, belongs to the Zvezda media group and uses the slogan "Arming with Knowledge".
The [RU+2] version moves the same programmes two hours forward. The TV guide shows that shift in evening documentary premieres, analysis editions, film screenings, repeats and special thematic blocks.
