About СПАС (Spas)

Spas [RU+4] is a time-zone edition of the Russian Orthodox television channel Spas, with programming shifted four hours from Moscow time. The edition is aimed at eastern regions, so worship broadcasts, documentary cycles, evening conversations and films appear at a more natural local hour.

The programming brings together news analysis, educational projects, telethons, documentaries, Russian feature films, animation, children's programmes and social topics. Orthodox culture, the church calendar, family themes, history and public life have a clear place in the channel's daily rhythm.
