1+1 is a Ukrainian television channel that began in 1995 as the television company Studio 1+1. Since 1997, it has become one of Ukraine's notable national TV brands, with a history connected to feature films, series, entertainment projects, news and public-affairs programming.
The first president and general director of 1+1 was Alexander Rodnyansky. The channel belongs to the 1+1 Media group and is known as a platform for Ukrainian shows, series, adaptations of international formats, special projects and news editions. The slogan "There are always pluses" keeps the recognizable wordplay around the channel's name.
Since 2022, the original 1+1 brand has been connected with the 1+1 Marafon format and United News, while part of the entertainment and series schedule moved to 1+1 Ukraine. The current 1+1 [UA] schedule keeps news editions, series, repeats and special programmes connected with the main Ukrainian 1+1 brand.
