About СТБ (STB)

STB is a Ukrainian national television channel whose name stands for Svit telebachennia, or World of Television. The channel first went on air on 2 June 1997 and is now part of the Starlight Media group.

The schedule combines news, entertainment projects, talk shows, music and comedy formats, film reviews, series and special editions. Recognizable STB projects include Vikna, Vikna-tyzhnevyk, Shou dovhonosykiv, ShiSh, KiN, O kino and Cinemateka.

The slogan "Everything Is Possible" supports the channel's image as a broad Ukrainian broadcaster with a strong entertainment and social-programming block. Lyudmyla Semchuk is the general director, and Demyan Radzivilyuk has been the voice of the channel since 2002. The current STB [UA] schedule keeps news, shows, series, repeats and evening editions in the channel line-up.
