Karusel [RU+7] is a time-zone edition of the Russian children's channel Karusel, with programming shifted seven hours from Moscow time. It is intended for regions using UTC+10 local time, where animated series, children's shows and family films appear closer to the usual daytime and evening hours.
Karusel programming includes children's shows, animation, TV series and feature films for family audiences. Regular titles include "Smeshariki", "Masha and the Bear", "The Fixies", "Three Cats" and "The Barboskins".
Karusel began broadcasting on 27 December 2010 after the merger of the children's channels Telenyanya and Bibigon. The channel is part of Russia's first digital terrestrial multiplex and is a joint project of Channel One and VGTRK.
In the Karusel [RU+7] schedule, the seven-hour shift is most visible in morning cartoons, daytime children's programmes, family films, evening selections and repeats. The channel remains part of Karusel programming, while airtime is adapted for the eastern time zone.
