Spas [RU+7] is a time-zone edition of the Russian Orthodox television channel Spas, with programming shifted seven hours from Moscow time. It is intended for regions using UTC+10 local time, where worship broadcasts, documentary cycles and educational programmes appear closer to local evening time.
Spas programming includes news analysis, educational projects, telethons, documentaries, Russian feature films, animation, children's programmes and charitable social projects.
About 60% of airtime is devoted to documentary, educational and outreach programming, while about 40% is connected with Orthodox themes. The Moscow Patriarchate is the channel's main owner.
In the Spas [RU+7] schedule, the seven-hour shift is most visible in worship broadcasts, evening documentary premieres, educational cycles, studio conversations and repeats. The channel remains part of Spas programming, while airtime is adapted for the eastern time zone.
