About Седьмой канал (Sedmoy Kanal)
Sedmoy Kanal is a Kazakhstan nationwide entertainment and information television channel. It was created on the basis of the Astana channel Era and began nationwide broadcasting on 9 September 2009 in Kazakh and Russian.
The schedule combines news, information and analysis programmes, entertainment shows, series and in-house productions. Recognisable formats include morning and evening programmes such as "Oyan, Kazakhstan", "Studio 7" and the news service "Aibat".
Sedmoy Kanal balances daily public affairs with a lighter evening entertainment block. The channel is distributed through terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT broadcasting in Kazakhstan. Its line-up is shaped by daily news, premieres, series slots and repeats.
