About НТВ Мир (NTV Mir)
NTV Mir is a Russian international television channel from NTV for Russian-speaking communities outside Russia. The channel was created in 2001 and keeps the news and documentary profile of the main brand.
The line-up centres on news and analytical programmes and documentary films. The channel uses the slogan "World Without Borders" and is connected with the international distribution of NTV programming.
Since 17 April 2013, NTV Mir has been broadcasting in 16:9 widescreen format and is transmitted in SDTV (576i) and HDTV (1080i). The channel is part of the Gazprom-Media holding. Ivetta Chernysheva is the chief producer, with Mikhail Arkhipov as deputy chief editor. NTV Mir is available through cable networks and satellite providers.
