About Мега (Mega)
Mega is a Ukrainian science and educational television channel from Inter Media Group. The channel began broadcasting on 30 May 2005 as Megasport, and on 29 March 2010 it received the name Mega and moved toward factual and educational programming.
The schedule includes documentaries, popular-science programmes, history projects, nature, travel, technology, unusual phenomena and Ukrainian-themed stories. Recognizable projects include Ihry patriotiv, Mistychna Ukraina, Hordist Ukrainy, Smartshow, Sokrovyshche UA, Nauka UA and Ukraina: zabuta istoriia.
The slogan "Always an Interesting Channel" fits Mega [UA] well: the channel builds its schedule around documentary blocks, repeats, premieres and evening themed editions. The format keeps a calm factual tone and relies on facts, archive stories and accessible explanations of complex topics.
