About Test 1

Test 1 is a test TV channel for checking television signal, picture and sound across cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT infrastructure. It is used by engineers, network operators and delivery specialists who need to see whether the signal path remains stable on different devices.

Test 1 programming uses test signals, colour bars, verification clips, reference audio tones, test clocks, demonstration fragments for picture and sound formats, and channel idents used during checks.

This set of materials is used to check audio and video synchronisation, format handling, receiving equipment and image consistency across screens. The channel is not intended for regular entertainment and works as an engineering reference point.

The Test 1 schedule usually repeats short verification fragments, charts, sound signals and demonstration blocks. They make it easier to notice visible or audible faults in the delivery chain.
