N24 HD is the HD version of the German news and information channel N24. The channel is now known under the WELT brand, while the HD feed uses 1080i 16:9 (HDTV).
The schedule combines news, politics, business, international affairs, analysis, documentaries, reporting and programmes about technology, history and science. The channel is defined by the mix of rolling news blocks and longer documentary formats.
The main channel began broadcasting on 24 January 2000 under the name N24 and was renamed WELT in 2018 after moving into the Axel Springer SE media group. N24 HD is available through cable, satellite, digital terrestrial and IPTV/OTT networks that support the HD feed.
