About Sport 1 HD
Sport 1 HD is the HD version of the German sports channel Sport1. It broadcasts in German, uses 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) and is owned by Sport1 GmbH.
The schedule includes football, Bundesliga reviews, the German Ice Hockey League DEL, DTM, rallying, darts, curling, golf, equestrian sport, basketball, ice hockey, motorsport, sports talk shows and Sport1 News. Recognisable fixtures include PDC World Championship darts and DTM racing.
Sport1 launched in 1993 under the name DSF, Deutsches Sportfernsehen, and adopted its current brand in 2010. The HD version keeps the profile of an open German sports channel, with competitions, studio debates and review programmes at the centre of its schedule.
