Smaylik TV is a Russian children's television channel for ages 3 to 12. The channel began broadcasting on 1 April 2016, operates around the clock in Russian and was launched on the basis of Ulybka Rebyonka (Child's Smile), a children's channel that existed from 2007 to 2016.
The line-up combines developmental, educational and entertainment animated series. Its collection includes "Gruzovichok Lyova" (Lyova the Little Truck), "Letayushchie zveri" (Flying Animals), "Kolobanga", "Kranik Styopa" (Stepa the Tap), "Klyaksa" (The Blot), "Mashiny-pomoshchniki" (Helper Machines), "PoniMashka", "Sina i Lo" (Sina and Lo), "TsypTsyp" (Chick-Chick) and other series.
The channel blends entertainment with learning through calm, clearly structured formats for preschool and primary-school children. Smaylik TV is owned by OOO Sovremennoye Televideniye (Modern Television), based in Saint Petersburg, and is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable and satellite networks, and IPTV/OTT services.
