Museum HD is an international themed television channel about art and museums in HD format. The channel launched in 2011 and has used several names: from 2011 to 2012 it was called "Purescreens Museum", and from 2013 to 2017 it appeared as "Museum" and "The Museum Channel".
The HD version appeared in 2017, and since 2020 a 4K version has also been available. The line-up consists of documentaries and series about museum collections, painters, sculptors, architects and major museums around the world, alongside reports from exhibition spaces and features on art history across different eras.
The channel belongs to the Altice France group. Museum HD is distributed through pay-TV packages, FAST channels, cable networks and satellite providers of Russian and international operators. Its profile is clearly cultural: artworks, exhibitions, museum spaces and historical context remain at the centre.
