About Кино ТВ HD (Kino TV HD)
Kino TV HD is the HD version of the Russian film channel Kino TV. The main channel began broadcasting on 3 December 2012, the HD version launched on 8 February 2016, and the channel operates around the clock in Russian.
The channel uses the slogan "And of course, the best world cinema!" and broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV) format. Its programming includes Russian and international films, themed film blocks and cycles of world cinema. Regular programmes include "Novosti kino" (Cinema News), a block about box-office results and ratings, and "Zhizn za kadrom" (Life Behind the Scenes), which covers stories from film production.
Sergey Katyshev is the channel's editor-in-chief. The channel is owned by OOO KINO TV. Kino TV HD is distributed through cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks from Russian operators with HD support.
