8 Channel is a Russian entertainment television channel. It broadcasts in Russian around the clock and brings together feature films, series, humour projects, analytical programmes, information blocks and light daytime entertainment.
The schedule also includes cooking and travel shows, interviews with musicians and actors, weather forecasts and morning entertainment formats. This mix makes 8 Channel a general entertainment service with a broad programming structure rather than a narrow thematic feed.
The channel began broadcasting on 5 July 2010. The project is associated with Prime Cinema and developed as a Russian entertainment channel with films, series, morning shows, information bulletins and entertainment blocks. 8 Channel is distributed through terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks.
