ATV is an Austrian nationwide private entertainment television channel in German. It began broadcasting on 1 June 2003 and became one of Austria's first prominent private free-to-air TV channels.
Today ATV is part of ProSiebenSat 1 PULS 4, the Austrian business of ProSiebenSat 1 Media. The schedule combines reality shows, docu-series, entertainment formats, talk shows, ATV Aktuell news bulletins, cooking programmes, sports reviews, and films and series from Austria, Germany and the United States.
Recognisable ATV projects include Bauer sucht Frau, Die Königin von Wien and Pures Leben. ATV relies on local stories, everyday observation, conversational formats and entertainment projects about contemporary life in Austria. The channel is distributed through digital terrestrial television, cable, satellite and IPTV/OTT networks that carry Austrian German-language channels.
