About Россия HD (Russia HD)

Russia HD is the HD version of Russia 1. The channel has been on air since 29 December 2012 in 1080i 16:9 and follows the main channel's programming.

The schedule includes the news bulletins "Vesti" (News) and "Vesti Nedeli" (News of the Week), current-affairs programmes, films, documentaries, entertainment formats and sports. The channel uses the slogan "The Country's Main TV Channel".

Anton Zlatopolsky is the general director. The base channel Russia 1 is a Russian federal TV channel of VGTRK. Its broadcast history goes back to 14 February 1956, and it has used its current brand name since 1991.

Russia HD is available from major cable and satellite operators that support HD distribution.
