About Кто есть кто (Kto Est Kto)
Kto Est Kto (literally "Who Is Who") is a Russian themed TV channel dedicated to biographies and stories of well-known people. The channel has been broadcasting around the clock since 13 November 2007 and is distributed in Russia, the CIS countries and Europe.
The schedule centres on biographical series and documentary films. Recurring shows include "Khvost Komety" (The Comet's Tail), a programme about Russians who have ended up living abroad. The channel uses the slogan "We tell stories of geniuses and villains, of rises and falls".
The channel was founded in the summer of 2007 by TV producer Vladimir Ananich, who remains its general producer. Irina Mishina has served as the channel's chief editor since summer 2009. The channel is owned by OOO Veriselintel. The channel is headquartered in Moscow. Kto Est Kto broadcasts in 576i 16:9 (SDTV) format and is available through cable and satellite networks in Russia and abroad.
