France 5 is a French public television channel from the France Télévisions group, focused on knowledge, culture, education and documentary programming. It broadcasts in French and occupies a calmer, explanatory place within public-service television.
The France 5 schedule is built around documentary cycles, popular-science formats, programmes about health, society, nature, history, books, parenting and everyday culture.
