KVN is a Russian entertainment television channel devoted to the TV game Klub Vesyolykh i Nakhodchivykh, usually rendered in English as Club of the Funny and Inventive. The channel began broadcasting on 1 June 2016 and shows KVN editions from different years, leagues and seasons.
The schedule is built around comedy games, team performances, festival editions, special projects and archive programmes. It is more than a collection of old recordings: the channel presents the KVN tradition through familiar teams, presenters, contests, musical numbers and jokes from different eras.
The KVN format was created by Sergey Muratov, Albert Akselrod and Mikhail Yakovlev. From 1993 to 2007 Andrey Lobov was the producer of KVN, and since 2007 that role has been held by Alexander Maslyakov Jr. The line-up alternates league games, archive seasons, festival shows and themed comedy blocks.
