About ABC HD
ABC HD is the HD version of the American television network ABC. It broadcasts in 1080i 16:9 (HDTV), runs around the clock in English, and carries the schedule of one of the largest commercial TV networks in the United States, owned by The Walt Disney Company.
The line-up includes ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, Nightline, the talk show The View, American series and films, reality shows, sports broadcasts and entertainment formats. ABC News programmes and major network shows remain central to the schedule.
ABC began television broadcasting on 19 April 1948 and became one of the key commercial TV networks in the United States. ABC HD keeps ABC's network profile in HD format and is available through digital terrestrial TV in the US, cable and satellite networks and IPTV/OTT platforms.
