About Mahhala

Mahhala is an Uzbek television channel of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, focused on local communities, family, traditions and social topics. The channel is connected with the idea of the mahalla as a neighbourhood and civic space.

The channel launched on 1 January 2014 and received a profile distinct from news, sport or pure entertainment. Its centre is everyday life, upbringing, social support and the culture of community relations.

The schedule includes public programmes, conversations, cultural and educational editions, materials about families, regions, traditions, crafts and daily life.

Mahhala broadcasts in Uzbek. The schedule groups daytime social blocks, evening programmes, repeat runs and special editions about community life.

The channel is available through terrestrial television and operator networks. Its value lies in attentive local perspective and calm explanation of topics that shape Uzbekistan's social fabric.
