About Great TV

Great TV [UK] is a British entertainment channel that grew out of the Sony Entertainment Television and True Entertainment line. The channel resumed broadcasting on 10 September 2019, and in May 2021, after Narrative Capital acquired the former Sony channels, the brand moved into the Great family.

The schedule is built around films, series, entertainment shows and repeats familiar from British television. Great TV is not a news or sports service: its role is relaxed entertainment with a clear mix of drama, comedy, classic series and lighter evening formats.

The channel broadcasts in English and works as part of British thematic television. Its programming line brings together films, series, daytime repeats, evening blocks and special selections within the current Great TV schedule.
