BBC News HD [UK] is the high-definition version of BBC News for the UK schedule. The channel draws on BBC's long history in international news broadcasting: BBC World Service Television launched in 1991, BBC World News became a distinct global brand in 2008, and in 2023 the UK and international news operations were brought into a single programming structure.
The line-up includes news bulletins, breaking-news coverage, weather, sport, business segments, interviews and analysis. Regular formats include "BBC Breakfast," "BBC News at One," "BBC News at Ten" and "Afternoon Live."
