About NRK1 HD
NRK1 HD is the high-definition version of NRK1, Norway's main public television channel. The channel belongs to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, NRK, and sits at the centre of national television with news, public affairs, culture, family formats and major events.
The NRK1 line-up includes news bulletins, documentaries, Norwegian drama, entertainment shows, children's and family blocks, sport, concerts and broadcasts of national importance. It is not a niche service, but Norway's main public channel with a daily information, culture and family line.
The HD version keeps the NRK1 content in a high-definition technical format. Studio news, sports coverage, concerts, nature filming and large live broadcasts remain part of the same NRK public schedule.
