About DR2
DR2 is a Danish public television channel from DR, focused on analysis, culture, documentaries and public debate. Compared with the broader DR1, this channel more often chooses subjects that need context, calm discussion and detailed explanation.
The schedule includes documentaries, political and international reviews, cultural programmes, interviews, debates, science and knowledge strands, and programmes about contemporary society. DR2 places emphasis not only on events, but also on causes, consequences and different positions around them.
Evening debates, documentary premieres, repeats of important editions, public-affairs blocks, cultural programmes and special DR formats connected with Danish and international issues are regular parts of the schedule.
