About MCM
MCM (Monte-Carlo Musique) is a French private music TV channel, created on the MTV model. The channel operates in French and Russian around the clock, depending on the region, and combines modern pop music with French pop and chanson.
MCM airs music clips by popular international performers, dedicated cycles about French artists and the latest releases from the world pop scene. French performers make up about 40% of airtime, while the remaining hours go to international hits in short clips and selections.
Charts, in-house video blocks and thematic cycles for young music fans run throughout the day. The Russian version of the channel, MCM Top, focuses on youth music for the 15—25 age group. MCM began broadcasting on 1 July 1989. The Russian MCM Top edition launched on 1 March 2015 and adapts the main programming for the Russian-speaking market. MCM is available through Russian and international cable and satellite television operators, as well as IPTV/OTT platforms.
