About Discovery HD (Discovery HD Sweden)
Discovery HD Sweden is the Swedish HD version of the Discovery factual channel. The channel focuses on subjects that work well in documentary form: nature, technology, travel, engineering, science, survival, investigations and real stories about people working in difficult environments.
The HD format marks the technical version of the Swedish Discovery channel, while the content remains tied to factual stories and exploration of the world. The Discovery HD line-up can include documentary series about animals, space, construction, cars, technology, history, extreme conditions and professions built on risk and practical experience.
The Swedish version keeps the international Discovery character while fitting it into a local schedule. Daytime and evening blocks regularly include documentary premieres, repeats of major series and subjects about nature, technology, professions and unusual working environments.
