About Mezzo HD

Mezzo HD is a French HD music channel about classical music, opera, ballet, jazz and major stage productions. The channel grew out of France Supervision, launched in 1992, and has used the Mezzo name since 1998.

The schedule includes concerts, opera performances, ballet productions, jazz sessions, festival recordings, chamber music programmes and documentaries about music. Mezzo HD is built around stage repertoire and musical events, bringing together classical tradition, modern concert recordings and jazz improvisation.

Mezzo HD broadcasts around the clock in 1080i 16:9 and keeps an editorial focus on the classical stage and jazz. Since 2019, the channel has been connected with the LVMH media group through Groupe Les Echos-Le Parisien and Groupe Canal+.
