About TVP 2 HD
TVP 2 HD is the high-definition version of the second public channel of Telewizja Polska. The base TVP2 channel launched in October 1970, while its HD broadcast began on 31 May 2012.
TVP 2, widely known in Poland as Dwójka, combines mainstream entertainment with public television. Its line-up includes series, cabaret, concerts, game shows, themed talk shows, documentaries, cultural programmes and special broadcasts.
As a high-definition version, TVP 2 HD preserves the familiar profile of TVP’s second channel in a sharper broadcast format. Its schedule covers evening shows, premieres, repeats, films and programmes aimed at a broad family audience.
