About France 4
France 4 is a French public television channel from France Télévisions. The channel grew out of the Festival brand and has used its current name since 2005, combining youth, family and cultural programming.
The France 4 schedule includes animation, family films, teen series, concerts, stage performances, festival recordings, comedy formats and cultural projects. The channel is visible where public television creates younger formats without flattening the material: through live performance, educational blocks, children's programming and contemporary leisure formats.
France 4 complements the larger France Télévisions channels with a lighter and more flexible line-up. Its programming line alternates daytime children's blocks, evening cultural events, animated series, family films and special screenings connected with music, theatre and French pop culture.
